Saudi Arabia’s state-run Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu (RCJY) and Bayanat Co, an Etihad Etisalat (Mobily) subsidiary have inaugurated the kingdom’s first smart city in Yanbu, Riyadh.

Chairman Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Thunayyan and a host of Saudi government representatives and senior IT officials inaugurated the city AT a ceremony held in Riyadh last week.

RCJY CEO Alaa Nassif told Arab News that the city “aims to provide an attractive community environment to reside and secure high-income job and investment opportunities for residents and visitors”.

The accomplishment is the first step of productive collaboration between the Royal Commission and Bayanat.
