Prime Minister and Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Development Mostafa Madbouly has revealed that the budget allocated for Obour City is estimated at EGP 2.4 bn in the FY 2018/19, Invest-Gate reports.

He has also added that the number of social housing units being built in the city reached 26,448 units, with the overall completion rate standing at 80%.

Various service projects are also under construction such as schools for all stages, bus stops, a police station, and a hospital, Ahmed Omran, Head of Obour City Development Authority, has said in a statement.

Omran has noted that various roads and tunneling projects are being implemented in the city with total investments worth EGP 170.85 mn.
