Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities Assem El Gazzar has announced plans to finalize the construction and operational works of more than 40,000 residential units in the New Administrative Capital (NAC) by the end of June 2020, Invest-Gate reports.
El Gazzar stated that works will include the development of 23,412 units in NAC’s R3 residential district, “Capital Residences,” and around 15,000 units in the R5 district, “New Garden City,” according to a ministerial statement on March 5.
The ministry also targets to complete the implementation of a number of utility and service projects in NAC, including the central park complex project “Capital Park,” which spans across over 1,000 acres and extends over more than 10 kilometers in length, El Gazzar added.
According to the minister, the park complex endeavors to be ranked among the world’s largest parks, offering world-class recreational services and representing the Egyptian unique natural environment.
Besides, the housing ministry plans to complete the first phase of NAC’s water treatment plant and to establish five international schools, a mosque, and a restaurant complex. In addition, it aims to finalize the amenities of the new city’s governmental district, investment area, along with those of the R3 and R5 residential districts.
