The emirate of Sharjah’s real estate revenue recorded $3.29 billion during the first half of 2016, through 25,474 transactions, Trade Arabia reported.
The transactions recorded a noted increase of 35.8% compared to the same period of last year. Transactions consisted of 8,165 title deed transactions, 1,943 mortgage, 14,411 ownership certificates and 955 valuations.
Abdul Aziz Ahmed Al Shamsi, general director of the Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department, stated that May 2016 saw a 114% increase in the total value of real estate traded, registering AED 3.4 billion, compared to last last year’s AED 1.6 billion.
Sharjah has previously recorded 1,860 sales transactions that includes 1,665 transactions recorded in Sharjah city alone.
