A total of 6,068 residential units are under construction in the New Qena social housing project, Invest-Gate reports.
“There will also be a school, assembling 42 classrooms belonging to the Nile schools in the city. This comes in response to the directives of President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi to expand in the establishment of the Nile schools, especially in Upper Egyptian cities,” said Head of the New Qena Development Authority Radwan Abdel-Rashid in a statement.
“A German school will also be operational starting the next academic year, along with the Official Language School of “Tahya Masr”, which has been previewed by the Ministry of Education in preparation for its operation soon. Additionally, in collaboration with the Ministry of Social Solidarity, five nurseries are to be run and received,” Abdel-Rashid added.
A governmental hospital sheltering 175 beds is also to be provided in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, as well as two health units and an emergency building to serve the new city.
