SSH, a leading project management firm in the Middle East, is partnering with Italy’s architecture practice Studio Altieri and construction company Impresa Pizzarotti & C Spa to design and build the Kuwait New Maternity Hospital (KNMH), according to a released statement.

The project, which includes specialized healthcare services, is located west of Kuwait City within Al Sabah Specialty Medical Area and will be developed at a total investment cost of USD 817 mn.

Construction works began in January and are expected to be completed within 54 months to include outpatient clinics, in-patient accommodation on 11 levels, administrative facilities, and a multi-storey car park.

The project will also include a central utility plant along with a separate plot for an underground service tunnel, according to the statement.

The 18-storey-tall hospital features 27 operating rooms and a car park that will accommodate 1,300 vehicles.

The project will fit international specialist maternity needs and serve Kuwait’s local, regional, and international communities.
