Minister of Transportation Galal Said met with Ilham Ibrahim, the Infrastructure and Energy Commission Delegate of the African Union, to discuss bilateral cooperation in different transport sectors, Al Mal reported.

The meeting previewed the commission’s role in setting plans and essential development strategies in Africa regarding transport, energy and infrastructure sectors through 2040.

The plans we have focus on transportation means especially railways. Galal highlighted that railways between the African countries are crucial, according to the Ministry of Transportation’s official website.

The meeting ended on an important note regarding the necessity of exchanging experiences where both sides collaborate to offer training courses in the fields of roads, railways, and marine transport.
