AAIB Records Strong Financial Performance in H1 2026

Arab African International Bank continued to deliver strong performance during the first half of 2026, recording its highest first-half net profit over the past five years at USD 202.8 million, up 27% compared with H1 2025. The Bank also maintained strong balance-sheet momentum, with corporate and retail loans growing 16% compared with December 2025, Invest-Gate reports.

Strong Financial Indicators

AAIB’s net interest income reached USD 346.2 million, while total assets stood at approximately USD 21 billion. The Bank’s financial investments amounted to USD 7.4 billion, reflecting continued strength in its balance sheet.

At the financing level, gross loans reached USD 5.8 billion, including USD 5 billion in corporate loans and USD 754 million in retail loans, highlighting continued growth across the Bank’s lending portfolio.

Meanwhile, total deposits stood at USD 15 billion, with retail deposits reaching USD 6.6 billion, underscoring the Bank’s strong financial position and continued expansion of its deposit base during the period.

These results reaffirm AAIB’s continued efforts to strengthen its financial performance, supported by growth in its loan and deposit portfolios and sustained balance-sheet momentum during the first half of 2026.
