Egyptian-American Enterprise Fund to Inject USD 3 mn in Dawi Clinics

The Egyptian-American Enterprise Fund (EAEF) and Dawi Clinics (Dawi) announced that EAEF will inject USD 3 mn into the Egyptian-based chain of outpatient clinics, “a strategic step taken by the two entities to support the growth of Egypt’s healthcare sector” and is part of their plans to expand across the country, Invest-Gate reports.

“Our partnership with Dawi Clinics will help us support the goals of a successful management team in
growing their business … Dawi’s focus on best patient outcomes, guidelines, and ethical conduct is a crucial reason for our investment. We are honored to have the opportunity to assist Dawi in further expanding its offerings for the Egyptian people,” Chairman of EAEF James A. Harmon was quoted as saying in an official statement on November 12.

EAEF’s vision is based on stimulating the Egyptian private sector by providing access to investment and
human capital, modern technologies, as well as best business practices while achieving financial
profitability. It has pumped over USD 135 mn worth of investments nationwide.

Meanwhile, Dawi, who currently operates five locations in Cairo, mainly focuses on providing a long-term career path for young physicians via a comfy working environment, ongoing training, and partnership opportunities – which may grant them the chance to fulfill their career objectives within a growing institution.

“We are privileged that the Egyptian-American Enterprise Fund has chosen Dawi Clinics as a long-term partner and shares our vision to support the development of the Egyptian healthcare sector,” according to Amal Enan, executive director of the fund.

Commenting on the move, CEO of Dawi Magda Habib stated, “EAEF’s resources will be invaluable to us as we seek to grow our chain of clinics, as well as continue to innovate our medical services.”
