No Disputes With China’s CSCEC Over NAC’s Towers Project: Housing Ministry

The Egyptian Housing Ministry has disclaimed news published on Al Shorouk newspaper concerning some disputes with the ministry and China State Construction Engineering (CSCE) over the New Administrative Capital’s (NAC) skyscrapers project, confirming that work on site is progressing according to the set timetable, Invest-Gate reports.

The news was published in the newspaper’s “Business and Finance” appendix, under the title “Disputes Between Housing Ministry and CSCEC Over NAC’s Towers Project,” according to a ministerial statement on December 23.

Deputy Minister of Housing for National Projects Khaled Abbas stated that what was published is not, by all means, accurate, confirming that a contract with the Chinese developer has already been signed and CSCEC’s work teams are currently working on site.

In its statement, the ministry called on all media outlets to investigate the accuracy of news published about the Egyptian national projects currently being implemented by the state, as it negatively impacts the investment climate in Egypt.
