Cleopatra Hospital to Sign New Lease Agreement in East Cairo

Egypt’s largest private hospital group Cleopatra Hospital Group is planning to sign a long-term lease agreement for a 50-bed hospital in East Cairo by February, as part of the company’s strategy to continue growing its bed capacity; while benefiting from economies of scale, Invest-Gate reports.

The new hospital, which is set to be situated in close proximity to Cleopatra Hospital, will provide additional capacity to serve the excess demand for its services and raise bed capacity for specialty services, according to a company’s recent bourse filing.

Commenting on the move, CEO of Cleopatra Hospitals Group Ahmed Ezzeldin said, “The signing of this new long-term lease will bring our total number of hospitals to six, expanding our capacity and further cementing [Cleopatra Hospital Group] as the largest private healthcare provider in the country.”

“With an already established reputation in maternity, gynecology, pediatric, and women’s healthcare, the new hospital will further diversify the Group’s service offering and allow us to continue delivering on our long-term strategy anchored on patient safety and quality services,” Ezzeldin added.

Cleopatra Hospital Group currently holds majority stakes in four leading hospitals in Greater Cairo, namely Cleopatra Hospital, Cairo Specialized Hospital, Nile Badrawi Hospital, and Al Shorouk Hospital, offering a wide range of general and emergency healthcare services.
