Dream Catcher Hosts Event to Market Dubai’s Properties to Egyptians

Dubai-based Dream Catcher Real Estate Brokers, in partnership with Emaar Dubai, has revealed holding a two-day conference – dubbed “Dubai Property Show” – from January 18 to 19 at Cairo Capital Club, Cairo, aimed at marketing Dubai’s top-notch real estate products to Egyptian clients, Invest-Gate reports.

Managing Director at Dream Catcher Real Estate Mohamed Rafik has expressed the growing desire of the Egyptian market in investing in Dubai’s housing market, which was the main reason for holding the conference, according to a released statement on January 17.

“Our company has reached many agreements last year with some of the largest corporations before opening our Egyptian headquarters, which has pushed us to introduce our new office here in Egypt to meet our clients’ needs,” Rafik was quoted as saying.

“With prices starting at AED 1 mn for a one-bedroom apartment, the Egyptian real estate market is very attractive for foreign investments from all countries around the world; especially with national projects emerging like the new capital city, North Coast projects, and Mostakbal City, which primarily led to a positive effect on the Egyptian real estate values,” he added.

Concerning some of the fears of declining real estate sales in 2019, Rafik acknowledged that the “Egyptian market has a unique characteristic that brings it out and above any other real estate market; the real demand is always rising, pushing the prices to always increase.”

Meanwhile, Ashahd Alshrobagy, the company’s marketing manager for Dubai and Egypt, confirmed that Arab and Middle Eastern investors embrace 15-20% of total investments in Egypt, manifesting a “great desire to be in the Egyptian market.”

“The decision of offering citizenship to foreign investors in exchange for real estate investments only had positive consequences on the market … The importance of powerful real estate marketing cannot be forgotten, just like Dubai. They have excelled at securing and protecting real estate investments that way,” Alshrobagy explained.

“This sends a welcoming message to investors of all types, which is crucial at this time of the year, as Egypt is representing its real estate market in one of the largest real estate conferences in France,” he elaborated.

On January 10, Deputy Minister of Housing for National Projects Khaled Abbas has signed an agreement for Egypt’s participation in France’s leading real estate exhibition MIPIM 2019 for the first time, which will take place in Cannes from March 12 to 15.
