Cabinet Allocates Land to Establish Ras Sudr Airport

Egypt’s cabinet has approved the president’s draft resolution to reallocate a state-owned land plot for the development of an international airport in Ras Sudr, South Sinai, Invest-Gate reports.

This came during a meeting headed by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly with the cabinet’s ministers, where they approved allocating another state-owned land plot for establishing integrated tourism development projects, without disclosing its location, according to an official statement on March 6.

In November 2018, state-run Al ِAhram Iktisadi reported that officials from the Airport Holding Company (AHC) and Tourism Development Authority (TDA) were scheduled to meet during the same month to discuss the procedures for relaunching the tender for Ras Sudr’s EGP 2-bn airport for the third time.
