Carrefour Hypermarket Opens at World 1st Nature-Inspired Mall

UAE-based Cityland Group partnered with Majid Al Futtaim on May 13 to kick off a 109,000-square-feet Carrefour Hypermarket at Cityland Mall, which is touted as the world’s first nature-inspired shopping center in Dubai, Invest-Gate reports.

Carrefour Hypermarket’s inauguration comes as part of Cityland Group’s ambitious project that aims to cater to the residential communities of Arabian Ranches, Majan, Al Barari, Layan, as well as, several upcoming communities such as Villanova, Arabian Ranches Extension, amongst others, all of which are located within a ten-minute drive-time, according to a recently released statement.   

Once finished, Cityland Mall will feature exceptional shopping and leisure experience. In addition to its extensive retail and food and beverage (F&B) offerings, the project will encompass a 200,000-square-feet botanical garden, a mini water park, an amphitheatre with 3,000 seating capacity, an ancient tree garden, a mini version of Dubai Miracle Garden, rooftop garden, as well as, a family entertainment area that is complemented with a cinema complex.

Its presence will provide a significant boost to our diverse retail offering at Cityland Mall,” CEO and Board Member at Cityland Group Fahimuddin Sharfuddin was quoted as saying.

Meanwhile, Country Manager of Carrefour UAE Philippe Peguilhan commented, “Cityland Mall offers a fresh and original twist for the ordinary shopper and is well positioned to evolve into an unparalleled shopping experience for its visitors. We believe that adding a retail space can only enhance this journey by offering an assortment of items that are rich in quality, variety, and value.”

According to the statement, over the forthcoming weeks, a number of top-notch brands will open their doors at Cityland Mall, including but not limited to home furnishing anchor tenants, F&B outlets, banks, exchange companies, pharmacies, and telecom service providers.
