The Red Sea resort town of Somabay will host a new golf tournament in one of its hotels, the Westin Hotel, Invest-Gate reports.
Somabay Golf Tournament event will run for three days during October 5th to 8th, according a press release.
The tournament will be played in accordance with the rules of the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews which is governing the sports all over the world, and the local rules of the Cascades Championship Golf Course. The Championship will be conducted under the auspices of the Egyptian Golf Federation (EGF).
The Cascades is Soma Bay’s Golf and Country Club, which provides a sporting and social focal point for the resort’s community, centered in one of Egypt’s most stunning desert links-style golf courses. The spectacular 18-hole, Par 72 championship golf course was designed by golfing legend, Gary Player. There are 20 golf clubs and 983 hotels in Egypt.
