UAE’s developer Nakheel awarded four contracts for a 15.3-square-kilometer waterfront city under construction in Dubai, Invest-Gate reports.

Covering islands A and B of Deira Islands, the AED-430-mn contracts are for a sewage treatment plant, a district cooling plant, a substation, and piling work for an 800-room resort.

Nakheel invested around AED 7.5 bn in infrastructure and construction contracts for Deira Islands so far.

The four-island development will add 40 kilometers- including 21 kilometer of beach to Dubai’s coastline, thus paving the way for the development of hundreds of hotels, residences and attractions.
