Gov’t Delivers 25,440 Units in October Gardens

Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities Assem El Gazzar announced on September 1 that 25,440 social housing units have been completed and handed over in October Gardens, west Cairo, Invest-Gate reports.

Further, 51,968 properties are being implemented in October Gardens’ social housing project, in addition to the development of multiple service projects, including health units, commercial markets, schools, nurseries, and kids areas, El Gazzar revealed in a recent ministerial statement.

He added that another 10,440 apartments are underway in the city’s Sakan Misr medium-income project, the statement added.

Meanwhile, roughly 4,200 residential units were finalized in the first phase of October Gardens’ Dar Misr middle-income project and will soon be delivered to their recipients, while 2,760 properties are under construction within the project, the minister confirmed.

El Gazzar emphasized the necessity of implementing utility works of all service projects simultaneously with the development of housing units to complete the entire project in one fell swoop. He also called on winners of social housing units to adhere to the set designs and architecture, thereby preserving the cultural appearance of new cities.

He also mandated the housing ministry to list all vacant plots and investment opportunities in new cities, in order to provide them to potential investors, and thus, contribute to the creation of new jobs and investment projects, while promoting growth in new cities, according to the statement.
