Dubai-based developer, Majid Al Futtaim, announces the first City Center Mall in Abu Dhabi, Invest-Gate reports.

The retail pioneer entered into joint venture with Al Jazira Sports and Cultural Club to establish the-AED 1.4 bn- City Center Al Jazira, located between the Airport Road and Al Muroor Road.

Construction on the center is set to begin in October 2017 and scheduled for completion in early 2021.

The center will include 153 retail stores, a Carrefour hypermarket, a -15-screen- VOX Cinema, Magic Planet family entertainment destination, a City Center clinic and a fitness center, as well as, indoor and alfresco dining choices.

The mall’s total leasable area is expected to reach 80,500 square meters within a built-up area of 215,000 square meters.

Majid Al Futtaim plans to raise its total investments in the UAE by AED 30 bn by 2026 to total to AED 48bn in the country.
