Gov’t Inspects Latest Progress at NAC Projects

Deputy Minister of Housing for National Projects Khaled Abbas and Assistant Vice Chairman of the New Urban Communities Authority Gamal Talaat have inspected a number of projects in the most sought-after New Administrative Capital (NAC), in the presence of the capital authority’s chairman Mohamed Abdel Maqsoud, Invest-Gate reports.

“We started off with the 20 residential towers within the Business District, including that of the highest in Africa,” Abbas revealed, stressing that all entities will abide by the execution schedule. The official delegation also toured the sites of NAC’s 40,000- acre first phase, including the Green River, New Garden City, and Capital Residence.

Construction works at NAC sre in progress and officials confirmed that such follow-up inspection tours will resume until the scheduled projects are completed and delivered.

On October 2, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities Assem El Gazzar said works are currently ongoing on nine new cities in upper Egypt, with total investments valued at EGP 11 bn.

The fourth-generation cities will be implemented over three phases; the first phase comprises New Toshka, New Aswan, West Assiut’s Nasser City, and West Qena, while the second phase includes New Fashn and New Mallawi cities. The third phase entails the construction of New Luxor, New Nagaa Hammadi, and New Beni Mazar, according to a previous official statement.
