Egyptian Minister of Housing Essam El Gazzar has met with UAE Minister of Infrastructure Development Dr. Abdullah Belhaif Al Nuaimi, and Businessman Khalaf Al Habtoor to review investment opportunities in Egypt during the 36th edition of Council of Arab Ministers of Housing and Reconstruction in Dubai.

Coming on the sidelines of the 36th edition of Council of Arab Ministers of Housing and Reconstruction in Dubai, the meeting saw El Gazzar demonstrating the enormous investment opportunities Egypt has to offer nowadays, highlighting the country’s expansion plan in the new cities.

During their talks, Founder and Chairman of Al Habtoor Group Khalaf Al Habtoor expressed his interest and desire to invest in the North Coast’s New Alamein, as well as, the unused assets (lands) found in Egypt such as Nasr City, Cairo.

El Gazzar’s visit to the UAE comes as part of the state’s ambitious plans to export Egypt’s real estate abroad and boost foreign investment inflows. Last June, the Egyptian Businessmen’s Association (EBA), in collaboration with the Council of Saudi Chambers, convened a binary business dinner at Intercontinental Semiramis Hotel, aiming to reinforce bilateral ties between Egyptian and Saudi investors.

During his speech, El Gazzar said the government is moving forward with the National Strategic Plan for Urban Development of Egypt, naming some mega national projects such as Dabaa and New Alamein, and revealing plans to establish more in Marsa Matrouh and Beheira provinces.
