A new investment zone spanning an area of 331 feddans is to be established in the New Damietta City for furniture, Invest-Gate reports.
The investment zone will be earmarked for small-and medium-sized enterprises related to the furniture industry, according to a General Authority for Investment (GAFI) statement.
“The government is keen on boosting direct foreign investment nationwide and in all sectors,” says Minister of Investment and International Cooperation Sahar Nasr.
The zone will also encompass a conference centre, a commercial mall specialised in furniture, in addition to an exhibition and social centre that will create more than 25,000 job opportunities.
