Egypt’s southern city of New Sohag is now carrying out major developmental projects, including a new water station worth EGP 180 mn, commercial markets and other infrastructure projects, Invest-Gate reports.
The city is also moving ahead with construction of amenities, such as a commercial market encompassing 43 feddans, a bank complex, a police point, and an ambulance service worth EGP 80 mn. Officials say that 70% of those construction works have been completed.
Construction works also include the establishment of a new airport road worth EGP 30 mn that is over 7.5 kilometers away from Sohag International Airport.
A public park has also been developed called Fardous Park spanning an area of 14 feddans. The park includes five markets, restaurants, and coffee shops at a total cost of EGP 14 mn.
A hypermarket is also expected to be developed on the Airport Road along with restaurants and coffee shops to serve the area’s residents.
