RTA to Build Dubai’s Tripoli Roads Project at AED 500 mn

Dubai-based Roads Transport Authority (RTA) implements Tripoli Roads Project at a total cost of AED 500 mn, Invest-Gate reports.

The 12- kilometer- long infrastructure project is expected to decrease traffic congestion between Dubai and Sharjah emirates and to link Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Road and Emirates Road, according to a released statement.

The three-lane Tripoli Roads project will also link through an axis to the Airport Road Improvement Project, which is also being implemented by RTA, at a total investment cost of AED  490 mn.

“The project aims to enhance the link between Dubai and Sharjah besides easing traffic congestions, streamlining traffic movement and stepping up safety along this axis,” says Mattar Al Tayer, director general and chairman of RTA.

Around 12,000 vehicles will be able to use the project in both directions per hour, decreasing traffic inflow by 30%.
