DLD’s Building Classification Project, in Progress

Dubai’s Building Classification project is currently in progress and a survey on all buildings across the city will be complete in 2017, Invest-Gate reports.

The Dubai Land Department (DLD) achieves a 50% classification rate for all properties in Dubai, where the Emirate’s older places are now exceeding 70%, according to a DLD report.

The project conducts surveys on all land plots, villas, commercial and residential buildings, factories, and shopping centers, resulting in easier rental procedures and classifying each property type to serve customers in the real estate industry.

“We are proud that our Building Classification project is achieving success all across the Emirate, which aims to register all units and buildings, including old properties located outside freehold areas. This initiative helps DLD to gain accurate and reliable information to respond to customers’ requirements,” says Director-General of DLD Sultan Butti Bin Mejren.
