Emaar Misr and Elsewedy Education have agreed to build a 50-acre campus to host The Knowledge Hub Universities (TKH) in the former developer’s New Zayed project, bringing UK-based Coventry University and branches of other prestigious foreign colleges to Egypt, Invest-Gate reports.

Work on the new campus will start in early 2021, with phase I developed over 27,000 square meters, coming as part of a 500-acre land recently allocated by the state to the property company to build a residential compound in west Cairo, called “Cairo Gate,” according to a recent press release.

This partnership, which was signed between both parties on August 4, is in line with Emaar Misr’s plan to implement integrated developments and present its customers with exceptional services, especially in the field of education, the statement added.

“In Emaar Misr’s communities, we are keen on providing distinguished educational services since education is the future and, as we were sure to partner with some of the biggest international schools at the start of our presence in Egypt,” Mohamed Alabbar, the company’s chairman, was quoted as saying.

“It has also become vital to establish universities that provide world-class educational services and have all the capabilities that equip students with the latest academic skills, qualifying them to compete in the different job markets and achieve academic and professional excellence,” Alabbar continued.

On his part, Chairman of Elsewedy Education Ahmed Elsewedy pinpointed, “We are proud to announce the expansion of The Knowledge Hub Universities to be part of the esteemed project developed by Emaar Misr, which reflects the great success TKH achieved.”

“We are keen on spreading this successful experience to be able to provide the distinguished educational programs brought by the world’s top-ranked universities to more students. Therefore, we look into more successful partnerships in order to achieve the goal of developing the educational system,” the chairman further stated.

In 2019, President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi had mandated the establishment of a college-level educational institution – or TKH, affiliated to Elsewedy Education, with its headquarters situated in the New Administrative Capital (NAC), according to a previous official statement.
