A total of 1445 companies have been established with a total capital of EGP 2.6 bn in January 2017 alone, Invest-Gate reports.
According to its periodical report, General Authority for Investments in Free Zones (GAFI) confirms that these companies have created 8,075 job opportunities. In comparison, around 1,114 companies were established in December 2016 with a total capital of EGP 1.48 bn, providing 7,500 job opportunities.
Among the establishments, 32.7% are industrial, while 31.4% are multi-disciplinary. 25.8% are involved in service activities, 3.9% in telecommunication and information technology, and 3.8% in construction; 1.2% of the companies work in the agriculture field and 1% work in the tourism field.
