MOIC to Develop Several Projects, New Valley

The Ministry of International Cooperation (MOIC) will develop the New Valley governorate in the sectors of rural sanitation, animal farms, water treatment plants, all to be financed by the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD), Invest-Gate reports.

SFD will finance the projects under a USD 200 mn SME grant, while the water and sanitation projects will support underprivileged villages located in the governorate.

The animal farm is expected to spread on 32 acres in El-Dakhla sub-governorate and to include nine butcheries funded by the SFD and Misr El-Kheir Foundation, according to the ministry’s released statement.

New Valley will also provide houses for female workers and develop existing rural units, particularly those in the most disadvantaged villages in cooperation with the ministry’s plan to support underdeveloped areas across Upper Egypt.

Minister of International Cooperation Sahar Nasr and New Valley Governor Mahmoud Ashmawy will be responsible for following up on developments as part of their agreement held in a previous meeting.
