Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities Mostafa Madbouly announced updates on several projects across new cities, including infrastructure, residential, and facilities, Invest-Gate reports.
Around 20 locations are suggested for the construction of 14 Nile Schools, including New Cairo, Sheikh Zayed, 6th of October City, Obour City, New Aswan City, 10th of Ramadan City, New Assiut City, Sadat City, 15th of May City, Damietta City, New Beni Suef, Shorouk City, Badr City, and New Borg El Arab City
Areas of Nasser in Assiut and West Qena have witnessed some developments, including a regional public service area consisting of medical care, a university, commercial activity, logistics, and an office. Both areas also contain high-end, middle-income, and social housing projects allocated across 1250 land plots.
Construction of facilities in Nasser City includes a transfer water line that extends 25 km, while West Qena is expected to have a new water transfer line that extends on 4 km. The city of West Qena spreads on 8,112 acres and is expected to include more of industrial activity, according to a released statement.
The Ministry of Housing is also constructing infrastructure projects in 6th of October City, as it develops Dahshour Corridor on Alexandria desert road until Wahat Road at a total cost of EGP 112 mn, and implements a bridge, connecting it to Juheyna Square at a total cost of EGP 150 mn to reduce traffic congestion.
