Deputy Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities for National projects Khaled Abbas has visited “Soor Magra-El-Oyoun” development project accompanied by Abdel Khaleq Ibrahim, Assistant Minister of Housing for Technical Affairs, and Alaa Abdel Aziz, Assistant Vice President of the New Urban Communities Authority, Invest-Gate reports.
During the tour, ministry officials explain that the obstacles of implementation of the residential units have been tackled saying, “We overcame all the obstacles of the underground water in the site and the soil as well,” according to an official statement.
“By February 2021, about 70% of the concrete works for residential buildings will be completed, and about 20% of the interior and exterior finishes works as well,”, the statement reads.
The project aims to develop 95 acres in the area, including the implementation of residential buildings, a commercial and hotel mall, restaurants, cafeterias, tourist bazaars.
Back in November 2020, Assem Al-Gazzar, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, stressed the need to accelerate the implementation rates of projects in “Soor Magra-El-Oyoun”, which are subject to periodic follow-up by the political leadership. “All renovation projects currently taking place in our capital are to bring Cairo back to its historical and cultural heritage and glory while developing a quality of life to its inhabitants,” El-Gazzar previously said.
