Tahya Misr Fund & Emaar Misr Sign a New Protocol

Tahya Misr Fund and Emaar Misr Company have signed a cooperation protocol to implement the sustainable development plan for Sidi Abdel Rahman village in Matrouh Governorate, Invest-Gate reports.

The agreement aims to enhance the quality of life for residents of the village and to provide Coronavirus vaccine to the neediest groups.

Emaar Misr provides the fund with a value estimated at EGP 30 mn as part of the “We Share for Humanity” initiative launched by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, according to a company press release on February 2.   

The protocol comes in light of the two parties ’desire to implement more development projects by providing the residents with services and facilities, the statement reads.

Emaar Egypt has contributed to developing the livelihood for the village residents since September 2020 and with total value since that time estimated at EGP 110 mn, according to the statement.

Executive Director of Tahya Misr Fund Tamer Abdel Fattah praises the cooperation by saying, “The protocol provides the best service for the most vulnerable families in the neediest areas.” “We have signed a previous protocol with Emaar Misr last September to enhance the infrastructure of the village. “Today many projects will be added to ensure the improvement of various aspects of life ”, he notes.

On his part, Mohamed Alabbar, chairman of UAE-based Emaar Properties, says that Emaar is keen on this permanent cooperation and partnership with the Egyptian government and the Tahya Misr Fund to implement development projects that achieve an added value.

 “This protocol aims to build a new primary school with a capacity of 33 classrooms, developing the village preparatory school with a capacity of 9 classes, creating a secondary education building in the same school with a capacity of 14 classrooms, providing administrative equipment and furniture for the Youth and Child Library”, he adds.

 “We believe in the importance of having facilities and services that guarantee a quality of life for people”, Alabbar underlines. Moreover, Al-Abbar points out that the Corona crisis requires solidarity. Therefore, it was necessary to respond to the “For Humanity” initiative to participate in providing the Coronavirus vaccine to one million people.

The protocol includes the establishment of a Tahya Misr Fund Services Complex that includes a government services center, post office, local unit offices, Nasser Social Bank branch, social insurance office, and a civil registry unit.

The services complex also includes a community service center that provides; child skills development, a communication center, a physiotherapy center, a women’s services center, a psychological support and family reconciliation center, nursery, illiteracy eradication hall, a training, and rehabilitation center, school of tourism and hotels.
