Tabarak Developments has signed a cooperation agreement with Orange Egypt, the leading provider of integrated telecommunications services, Invest-Gate reports.

The cooperation protocol aims to provide the luxurious real estate project 90 Avenue, located in the Fifth Settlement, with smart city technologies and Orange triple-play services, opting for Fiber To The Home (FTTH) technology, which avails home automation through the Internet of Things (IoT), according to a company press release on March 7.

The agreement comes within the framework of Tabarak Developments’ constant keenness to use the latest technological systems in its existing and future projects to ensure a modern lifestyle and to create a smart residential environment characterized by innovative solutions, the statement reads.

This technology provides high-speed internet to customers, through closed networks allocated specially for each home. Furthermore, under this agreement, the 90 Avenue compound, which includes 1,450 housing units across 196,000sqm, shall be provided with Home Automation technologies, through which several services can be availed, depending on IoT, the statement reveals.

Additionally, home automation technology, provided by Orange Egypt, interconnects various devices and systems at home, allowing them to be controlled anywhere and anytime through mobile applications.

Using the automated system, 90 Avenue customers can remotely control lighting, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, curtains, door locks, home security systems, and highly sensitive insurance services against theft, fire, and other risks, the statement continues to say.

“Tabarak places at the forefront of its priorities the necessity to create an integrated residential environment where innovative technological solutions are available and is always keen to provide everything new and creative to its customers in all its residential and tourism projects to deliver a modern lifestyle,” Ali Al-Shorbani, Tabarak Developments’ chairman, is quoted as saying.

“We cooperated with Orange, a leader in the field of communications and information technology, to be the technology partner for 90 Avenue project and for future projects to represent a real addition to our projects, in line with the country’s digital transformation policy and with the company’s vision to provide a modern residential experience,” he adds.

On his part, Karim Kamel, director of Home Internet & Triple Play at Orange Egypt, highlights the importance of the new agreement signed with the real estate developer, Tabarak Developments. He further asserts that Tabarak’s endeavor to provide 90 Avenue with smart technical services indicates its efforts to boost the quality of life in the compound.

It is worth mentioning that the agreement is a new step towards disseminating advanced smart city services in Egypt. It includes the provision of Triple Play services, which include high-speed Internet, IPTV, and landline connections. These services use fiber optics through an internal network established specially for 90 Avenue
Moreover, the agreement stipulates providing the project with FTTH technology, which is commonly used in Europe and regarded as the future of the Internet across the world.
