The New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) has decided to give owners of lands and buildings a one month period to present documents validating their ownerships of land and buildings in New Alamein City, reported Al Borsa.
New Alamein City has a total area of 24,000 acres, including 8,000 acres dedicated for touristic, and heritage purposes that will be introduced in an area with an expected population of 400,000 people.
Approximately 10,000 units are being constructed in the city, 5,000 of which are constructed by the NUCA and the others by the Armed Forces Engineering Authority with a total cost of EGP 1.4 billion. This falls under the government’s social housing scheme.
Investment plans for the lands will commence in the tourism, entertainment, and medical sectors, in efforts to encourage several developers to collaborate in the construction works.
The Arab Contractors Company and Mokhtar Ibrahim have recently constructed the basic foundation and facilities for the first phase within the city, while the Armed Forces has built water stations, inner roads, and lakes.
The state took over the New Alamein land since 2015. Violators were warned against misuse of the lands, according to Tarek El Sebaey Head of NUCA’s Trade and Real Estate Department.
