East Delta Flour Mills (EDFM) is discussing the potential of utilzing 15 plots of land for real estate projects, reported Daily News Egypt.

The plots of land are located in Cairo, Sharqeya, Damietta, and Suez. the company will establish a separate department to study the real estate market.

The board of directors agreed in 2015 to branch into real estate investment activity as part of the company’s portfolio, but postponed execution of any construction works until research is conducted on the real estate market.

EDFM is known for owning nine laboratories and three silos, where each has a storage capacity of 30,000 tons of wheat in Sharqeya, Ismailia, and Daqahlia.
