The Bahraini government has issued a tender of 1,246 residential units that will be built within the first phase of the Al Ramli Housing Project, which is funded by Gulf Development Program, reported Trade Arabia.
The Al Ramli project should contain 25,000 units by the end of 2018. Additionally, 12 contractors from Bahrain and Saudi Arabia were selected to compete in the tender.
Moreover, the tender related to the project’s infrastructure is expected to be launched by the end of the year, while the tenders for the second phase will be released later.
The Al Ramli project site will be developed in conjunction with the Northern City, East Hidd City, and the Southern Governorate Housing projects, as part of the government’s attempt to provide residents with housing units, according to the Bahrain News Agency.
The construction is considered the first step for the implementation of a strategic project in the country, according to the Bahraini Housing Ministry.
