One of the UAE’s largest property development and real estate services companies, Deyaar Development, has started construction work on its hotel project, located close the Mall of Emirates in Al Barsha Dubai, reported Trade Arabia.

The hotel and serviced apartments project will be built on a total land area of 70,800 square feet and is expected to be completed in December 2017.

The hotel will consist of 408 units that will include 299 hotel rooms, 15 of which will be suites , 109 serviced apartments, and a mix of 93 one-bedroom and 16 two-bedroom units.

The project will also include facilities and amenities suitable for leisure and business travellers, as well as restaurants, a business center, meeting room, swimming pools and a spa, a gym, and a play area for children.

The project will also abide by the emirate’s goal to provide various accommodation options to accommodate a target of 20 million annual visitors by 2020, according to The National.

Saeed Al Qatami, CEO, stated that Al Barsha project meets the growth strategy and expands the company’s portfolio in the hospitality and tourism sector, as the company aims to manage 1,000 hospitality units by 2018.

Deyaar has expanded its property management and facilities management divisions in efforts to allocate around 1 million square feet for hospitality projects.
