Approximately 36,750 people have applied to the Obour City Authority to reconcile and validate their land ownership following the establishment of New Obour City, reported Invest Gate.

The last day for people to validate their land ownership at Obour City Authority has been extended for an additional two weeks, from August 24, the original deadline, to September 6.

A total of 123 orders have been implemented against violators, including the closure of shops, said Amin Ghoneim, Head of the Obour City Authority.

New Obour City was established according to  presidential decree No. 240 for the year 2016, and is now owned by the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) and the Armed Forces, reported Invest Gate.

Those with documents proving ownership of land within the area designated as New Obour City were requested to visit the New Obour City Authority to validate their ownership status.
