Sheraton Oman to Reopen After Decade-Long Closure

The iconic 14-storey Sheraton tower in Oman is scheduled to reopen next October after being closed for a decade, Trade Arabia reported.

Booking will be available for guests in the upcoming weeks at this five-star hotel, as confirmed by the hotel’s manager.

The renovation of the hotel included a 230-room extension, including 27 suites, according to Gulf Digital News.

There will also be nine meeting rooms available for business guests, two board rooms, and the Oman ball room, which measures in at 1,200 square meters and has a capacity for 1,000 guests. There is also a new parking lot at the hotel that is still under construction and will have a capacity of 300 vehicles once it is completed.

Other amenities include a courtyard for all-day dining, a South American steak house named Asado, outdoor and indoor swimming pools and a new spa, all to be operated by Starwood Hotels and Resorts.
