Mostafa Madbouly, the Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Development, issued a ministerial decree to establish the New Obour City Development Authority, reported Invest Gate.

The organizational structure for the authority will follow the structure adopted for new authorities in new cities.

New Obour City currently falls under the jurisdiction of the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) and the Armed Forces, following the recent presidential decree No. 240 for the year 2016.
