The Holding Company for Construction and Development (HCCD) plans to import EGP 2 billion worth of equipment over the next two years, said Mahmoud Hegazy, HCCD Chairperson and Managing Director, Amwal Al Ghad reported.
An estimated 90% of the equipment imported is primarily road-related and drilling equipment, Hegazy explained. The imported equipment will be provided to public sector contracting companies.
The first round of imports has already been completed, whereby HCCD imported EGP 300 million through leasing companies.
HCCD was established in 1991 and has, according to its website, a total of 21 subsidiary companies, considered on of the biggest companies in the construction field in Egypt.
