REDCON, Schneider Electric Sign 2 MoUs for Sustainable Building in COP27

REDCON for Offices and Commercial Centers signs two memoranda of understanding with Schneider Electric on the sidelines of the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP27), Invest-Gate reports.

The first MoU paves the way for the construction of smart buildings and sustainable projects through cooperation with Schneider Electric’s EcoStruxure™ platform.

EcoStruxure is an open platform that enables interactive use in homes, buildings, data centers, infrastructure, and industries.

The platform will allow for control and maintenance of the project’s infrastructure, including electricity, heating, air conditioning, water, gas, data centers, databases, DCIM, traffic, security, and command and control centers.

Furthermore, the second MoU aims to use the BMI-6D model as a new and innovative way to manage and design projects, integrating sustainability and energy use in all aspects of the Golden Gate project.

Tarek El Gamal, Chairman of REDCON, says: “The cooperation will serve to better build a greater understanding of what green buildings are and how can REDCON Construction implement them using sustainable development models.”

“Digital Transformation and efficient power consumption are intertwined paths for the future requiring further innovation to digitalize and ensure operational efficiency to make a real impact on the global efforts to combat climate change,” Sebastien Riez, North East Africa and Levant Cluster President of Schneider Electric, comments.
