National projects including infrastructure, social housing, and utilities are in full swing over the Administrative Capital, New Toshka and New Alamein Cities, announced Moustafa Madbouly, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, Invest Gate reported.
Infrastructure projects are currently being executed over an area of 3,000 acres, which include water supply, sewage, roads, irrigation, electricity and telecommunications projects, as well as the concrete work of 96 residential buildings which consist of 7,016 units, Madbouly said.
Roads from New Cairo leading to the Administrative Capital are also underway; in addition a water treatment network with a capacity of 50,000 cubic meter per day is currently being constructed in the district.
A number of 612 middle-income residential units in New Toshka are about to be completed, while another 612 social housing units are being built along with service buildings such as a school, a commercial market, a mosque and a health clinic. Utilities network for the area is currently being executed over a 105 acre area, with a total cost of EGP 1 billion.
Infrastructure work is also taking place in New Alamein, extending over 2,000 acres as part of the city’s first phase. The Alexandria-Matrouh road from the 93 kilometer point until the intersection with Alamein-Wadi Al Natrun Road is currently under development.
