El-Gazzar Assumes Presidency of 39th CAMHR

Assem El-Gazzar, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, assumes the presidency of the 39th session of the Council of Arab Ministers of Housing and Reconstruction (CAMHR) after the position is transferred from the Jordanian Ambassador to Egypt, on behalf of Jordan Minister of Public Works and Housing, Invest-Gate reports.

El-Gazzar opens the 7th Arab Housing Conference “Towards Smart Sustainable Cities that Achieve Quality of Life” and the exhibition organized on the sidelines of the conference.

The minister notes that transformation towards smart cities and communities is among the key mechanisms that satisfy the increasing needs of social classes.

Egypt implements a plan for digital transformation in all sectors including infrastructure and urban developments, El-Gazzar says.

He reiterates that the Egyptian government is doing its best to build fourth-generation cities as smart and sustainable cities that meet the needs of citizens through technology.

El-Gazzar refers to the achievements over the last sessions of the CAMHR in the promotion of mechanisms for Arab cooperation and the unification of visions towards housing-related matters.
