Emirati Trojan General Contracting (TGC) announced that it has been awarded a AED 1 billion ($ 272 million) contract for the construction of Mira Oasis townhouses, in the Reem neighborhood, by top UAE developer Emaar Properties, Trade Arabia reported.

The award includes the 2nd phase of the Mira Oasis community which includes 1,393 units, and is divided into 3 plots. It will also include fitted contemporary townhouses, designed with a courtyard living, as well asthree and four-bedroom units.

Master-planned Reem is one of the most sought-after communities in Dubai, with exotic features including a desert botanical park, sand surfing and camel riding trails, go karting track, dune buggies, rock climbing wall, cricket pitch, soccer field, and a skate park.

“With an impressive portfolio of world-class assets, TGC sees the Mira Oasis townhouses project as an opportunity to expand further in the UAE, in line with the vision of the country’s leaders,” Managing Director of Trojan Holding, Hamad Al Ameri said.

“It will bring unprecedented economic pre-eminence to the real estate market, and we are proud to be a part of a project that will further strengthen the property sector,” he added.

TGC’s current portfolio includes 5,000 villas in Jabal Hafeet, Ain Al Fayda in Al Ain and 489 Nad Al Sheba Villas in Dubai, the Palm Tower in Dubai and in Abu Dhabi, Hydra Village, and Horizon Towers.

The company will assign 7 of its subsidiaries to work on the project, to include an MEP contractor, a ready-mix concrete supplier, a precast concrete company and companies responsible for delivering facades, steel structures and interior works, according to The National.

Emaar Properties launched the first phase of Mira Oasis townhouses in April 2013, which are part of the Reem community, which was launched in 2012.
