UN Habitat Offical Visits Projects in NAC

Maymouna Mohamed Sherif, Assistant Secretary-General of the United Nations – Executive Director of the United Nations Human Settlements Program (Habitat) pays a visit to a group of projects in the New Administrative Capital (NAC), Invest-Gate reports.

Abdel-Khalek Ibrahim, Assistant Minister of Housing for Technical Affairs, and Sherif El-Sherbiny, Head of the New Administrative Capital Development Authority, accompanied the UN official.

The three officials’ tour includes the central business district of the NAC, which includes 20 towers with a variety of uses, including the iconic tower, which is the highest tower in Africa, with a height of about 400 meters.

They also visit the Capital Park project, which consists of 3 sectors, and is the largest central park in the Middle East, and the second largest park in the world, with a length of more than 10 km, and an area of about a thousand acres.

The UN Under-Secretary-General listens to a detailed explanation of the projects that have been and are being implemented in the new capital and expresses her admiration for the Egyptian urban experience and the efforts of the Egyptian state to develop cities and transform them into modern and sustainable urban centers.
