Mostafa Madbouly, Egyptian Prime Minister, arrived in Saint Catherine City, in South Sinai Governorate, to follow up on the implementation of the Site of the Great Transfiguration on the Land of Peace project, Invest-Gate reports.

Madbouly is accompanied during the visit by Assem El-Gazzar, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, Kamel El-Wazir, Minister of Transport, Hisham Amna, Minister of Local Development, Mohamed Abbas Helmy, Minister of Civil Aviation, Hani Sweilem, Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation, and Ahmed Issa, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities.

This is in addition to Khaled Fouda, Governor of South Sinai, Hossam Heiba, CEO of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones, Mahmoud Nassar, Head of the Central Reconstruction Agency, and Ihab Khadr, Head of the National Authority for Drinking Water and Sanitation.

Madbouly stressed that this visit aims to review the progress of work on the various components of the project to develop the Site of the Great Transfiguration on the Land of Peace, which is being implemented at the commission of Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, Egypt’s President.

This is within the framework of the plan to develop the city of Saint Catherine and place it in its appropriate position by maximizing the benefit of the tourism components of this city, which has an archaeological, religious, environmental and heritage character.

Madbouly explained that the visit to the city of Saint Catherine today will be the beginning of a tour that includes a number of tourism and service projects in South Sinai Governorate, which reflects the state’s interest in boosting the tourism sector and upgrading all services and facilities in cities that attract tourism, especially in Sinai.
