The Holcim Foundation for Sustainable Construction has revealed a list of 20 exceptional finalists for the highly anticipated Holcim Awards 2023 competition, Invest-Gate reports.
Among the finalists is an inspiring Egyptian project in Ezbet Ishaq, which showcases the design of an educational classroom constructed entirely from recycled materials.
Chosen by five independent expert jury panels worldwide, these projects exemplify highly contextual and practical approaches to sustainable construction. They encompass a wide range of scales, budgets, geographies, and forms, presenting innovative solutions to sustainable building challenges.
Moreover, the precise ranking of the nominees will be announced during the Holcim Awards 2023 Ceremony, scheduled to take place on November 18 in Venice, Italy. The event will be held during the final weeks of the Biennale Architettura 2023 – the 18th International Architecture Exhibition.
