Ministry of Housing Develops New Electronic System for Streamlined Project Monitoring Across Affiliated Agencies and Sectors

Assem El-Gazzar, the Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, has announced the development of a new electronic system to monitor and manage projects across all agencies and sectors under the ministry, Invest-Gate reports.

El-Gazzar emphasized that this system is being prepared in conjunction with the transition to the New Administrative Capital (NAC) and is part of the ministry’s digital transformation program.

Waleed Abbas, the Deputy Chairman of The New Urban Communities Authority for Planning and Projects, provided further details about the system. Its primary objective is to enable intelligent project monitoring and management, ensuring easy access to information and updates on project implementation rates. It also aims to evaluate the performance of agencies in handling tasks and assignments, establish a digital library for the ministry’s project records, and integrate with various systems to obtain a comprehensive overview of project progress.

In addition, the system will facilitate the submission of proposals and recommendations through decision-making support systems, promoting an integrated information and technological structure for project monitoring and coordination among agencies, departments, and support entities involved in project management nationwide.

Ahmed Samir, the Assistant Deputy Chairman of the New Urban Communities Authority for the Planning and Projects Sector, mentioned that training courses are currently being conducted at the Ministry of Housing’s headquarters in NAC. These courses target engineers and specialists from the ministry’s affiliated entities, focusing on familiarizing them with the Ministry’s project follow-up system.
