Egypt Advances Water Infrastructure for New Capital

Minister of Housing Assem El-Gazzar reviewed progress on two key water projects in Badr City supplying the new capital, Invest-Gate reports.

The EGP 900 mn lifting stations aim to support urban expansion catering to state employees relocating as part of the Zahrat Al Asima housing development.

Badr City Development Authority head Radwan Abdel Rashid inspected station five, featuring nine pumps each with the 720-liter-per-second capacity to regulate pressure.

Components include two 10,000-sqm storage tanks and a 2 km expulsion line, with 95% completion alongside administrative and religious buildings.

Rashid also surveyed station four containing six pumps and ground tanks of the same size. It facilitates 179,712 sqm of daily water flow with a 6.5-km line under construction plus ancillary structures.

The developments are focused on adhering to timelines and quality in expanding the new capital’s infrastructure footprint. They provide the bedrock for the residents and facilities growth envisioned under the city’s development blueprint.
