Egypt’s Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities Assem El-Gazzar has met with the special envoy of the China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) to monitor progress on the Central Business District project in the New Administrative Capital (NAC), Invest-Gate reports.
El-Gazzar emphasized expediting work, ramping up Egyptian and Chinese worker training, and fulfilling tasks to meet deadlines for the 20-tower development.
The $3 bn joint venture between the ministry and CSCEC signifies a landmark collaboration, including Africa’s planned 400-meter-tall skyscraper.
CSCEC’s special envoy pledged the company’s commitment to accelerate work and strictly adhere to tower delivery timelines for one of the company’s most significant global endeavors.
The discussion centered on the project schedule’s adherence to global standards under the direct political leadership of Egypt’s urban renaissance since President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi took office.
