Shorouk City Authority Cracks Down on Construction Violations

Ali Saad, the Head of the Shorouk City Authority, has led a committee to remove a violating building in Shorouk City’s fourth district, Invest-Gate reports.

The committee, which included Tamer Adel, the head of the city’s reconstruction police department, demolished an infringing floor in a residential property. The property owner had exceeded the permissible building percentage on the roof without meeting the necessary requirements to convert it into a residential unit. The removal involved demolishing the concrete ceiling that exceeded the legal limits.

In addition to the demolition, the committee took measures to halt real estate transactions related to the property and required the violator to bear the expense of the removal.

Saad urged landowners to adhere to building regulations and refrain from carrying out any violations. He emphasized the importance of investing in construction according to proper licenses to safeguard savings and avoid legal penalties. He stated that violations would not be tolerated and would be dealt with decisively to preserve the civilized appearance of Shorouk City.

Furthermore, Saad mentioned that the agency observed cases of encroachment on three vacant residential units owned by the agency. In cooperation with the Construction Police Department, the agency evacuated these units as an exercise of the state’s rights and in adherence to the rule of law.
